Create a 60 Day IL where the injured player can be placed and not count against the roster or the regular IL

why? we have huge rosters with 12 bench spots and 5 IL spots. Seems unnecessary to me. At some point, if injuries get crazy, an owner needs to make tough decisions about whether to cut bait on certain players to open up roster spots for other players.

If a SP goes thru TJ surgery, someone may want to hold onto that player until he is healed and playing again. Why should he take up a roster spot for a yr and a half when he can be put on the 60 IL. Owners can waive them if they choose but this would be another option.
