texas extends Justin Smoak 2 years last year option.
2019 3.5 mil
2020 6.6 mil option

This isnt a valid extension.
Smoak is in the final year of his deal and thus only could be extended prior to opening day.
No extension is allowed at this point, he will be a free agent at season's end.
Only players not in the final year of their deal can be extended midseason.
