In an effort to help teams absorb contracts from the 4 contracted teams, each team will be allowed a one-time free drop anytime between now and the beginning of next season. This is a chance for you to correct any big contract mistakes you may have made, so use it wisely!
The dropped contract will immediately come off a team's books, and the player will become a free agent. Teams do not have the option of claiming the free dropped player, unlike other player releases. In the release thread, please specify that you are using your free drop.
