bidding of FA

Hey All,

  I think we should discuss a new rule in terms of time to pick up winning FA bids. I know people get busy and life happens, but we should do something as it has come up a few times this year. What is everyone's thoughts?

I agree, maybe 36 hrs that should be enough time as most of us have smart phones. If you don’t pick up with in 36 hrs the player goes to the second highest bidder.

I agree, but not sure on 36 hours. I know in the past I go away on weekends and during that time don't have access. So I would not want to be penalized for getting a winning bid while away. But, I agree there needs to be a cap on how long a winning FA can sit on list maybe like 3 days?

Waiver claims after releases have to be made within 72 hours, so I think 3 days for FA would be a decent # too. Consistent with other stuff at least

Will this be the case when FA starts at the beginning of the season, cause most teams wait to see who is starting and players going on the IL.
