In the first year of RFA we've allowed a player's RFA rights to be traded to another team. However, at least one team has brought up whether or not that should be allowed and if an RFA should be designated only if they are on a team at the end of the regular season - not allowing an expired player's rights to be traded.
If this vote is majority no, RFA rights will continued to be eligible for trade moving forward. If this vote is majority yes this rule change would take effect next offseason (2023 / 24) as trades have already taken place this year.
