The subject came up in a conversation to move RFA to 1 week before regular FA. Could be beneficial to all teams to have this start before regular FA as to know how much money you will have before regular FA starts.

The concern would be having $ tied up in an RFA bid could prevent you from continuing to bid on a regular FA, and then having the RFA player be kept and you miss out on the FA and RFA player. One week would maybe allow for a few RFA decisions to be made before FA starts, but some RFA bidding would probably still be going on when regular FA starts.
